frequently asked
questions

why do I have to give you my credit card details?

Our booking system requires all clients to confirm their appointment by entering their credit or debit card details. This is a security measure for us as a small business to protect against late cancellations and no-shows. We do not have access to your card details, and cannot charge your card without your consent. In the event that you do cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or do not show up to your appointment, our booking system will automatically apply the appropriate fee as outlined in our Cancellation and No Show Policy.

do you offer acrylics, SNS or nail extensions?

No, we are a non-toxic salon and do not work with any acrylic or SNS products due to their high toxicity and the extreme damage they cause to your natural nail. Instead, we specialise in keeping your natural nails healthy, strong and beautiful by using a range of non-toxic polishes and organic, plant-based skin-care products.

can you remove acrylics or SNS before I have one of your treatments?

No, you will need to have your acrylics removed prior to attending our nail spa, as we do not work with these products at all and do not have the tools to safely remove them. Once this is done elsewhere, we will be happy to help you transition to a natural nail.

what is the difference between gel polish and builder polish?

Gel polish cures instantly under our LED lamps to prevent chips or smudges and give you a longer-lasting manicure. Typically, gel polish lasts for approximately two weeks (sometimes longer, depending on your lifestyle). Builder Polish is a type of Gel Polish and works much the same, however the formula is designed to strengthen your natural nail, and the application is much thicker to provide a stronger protective layer and prevent breakage. This is a fantastic option for anyone transitioning from acrylics to a natural nail, or for clients with weaker nails prone to breakage.
